Real reason behind Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner split

Jennifer Garner is the one who put an end to her 10-year marriage to actor/producer Ben Affleck.

New reports claim the actress got frustrated with the ‘Gone Girl’ star’s drinking and gambling problems and wanted out! Insiders say “partying” had nothing to do with their problems. Ben did not go out and did not womanize … Jen complained he just drank and gambled too much.

Sources connected to Garner say Ben’s drinking and gambling have escalated over the last few years to the point “she couldn’t take it anymore.” Those in Ben’s camp confirm that he likes to drink and loves to gamble and has also recounted about gambling in interviews.

The couple have reportedly been in therapy for more than 2 years and Ben accidentally mentioned his marital issues during his Oscar acceptance speech in 2013.

Ben and Jen have been separated for 10 months, so there was no recent ‘breaking point’, it’s really just about 2 people who want to live their lives differently.

The couple will file for divorce after all of the property and custody issues are resolved. Meanwhile they have agreed on joint cutody of their three children ranging from 3-9.
