Bayelsa State Governor, Hon Seriake Dickson has said his landmark achievement of being the first governor to successfully complete a second term in office is nothing but divine intervention.
He revealed this when the set of 1992 Rivers State University of Science and Technology Law students visited him in Yenagoa.
According to him, if not for God’s intervention, the jinx would’ve not been broken.
His words, “I thank you for your abiding solidarity. This is not the first time individually and collectively you have been here to encourage to support me in all these period that I have remained here as governor,”
“The election was a predetermined concoction of figures in the image and likeness of an election but which fell far short of internationally acceptable standards of civility and democratic norms.”
He also thankeD the judiciary for checking the merits of the cases placed before them and making sure justice prevailed for the overall benefit of the people of Bayelsa.
Congrats to him.
