Stop Speculating On Who Has Tested Positive For Coronavirus Without Facts – Lai Mohammed

Lai Mohammed has warned Nigerians to be careful about what they believe during the coronavirus crisis.

The Minister of Information and Culture rubbished said this as he rubbished reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is displaying symptoms of coronavirus.

According to him, a section of the media has been engaging in scaremongering and irresponsible reporting on the disease so the citizens must be watchful and sensible when they read things.

He added that it is very wrong to speculate on those who are positive or negative if you do not have the facts to back it up.

His words, “A section of the traditional media has also been engaging in scaremongering and irresponsible reporting on the disease.

“It is wrong to speculate on those who are positive or negative for coronavirus without any empirical information.

“In any case, being positive to coronavirus is not a death sentence, as we can see around the world.

“There is no need for the kind of scaremongering we are seeing in a section of the media.”
