I Always Knew Nigeria Is My Blood – Justine Skye

Popular singer and model, Justine Skye has shared that she is Nigerian.

She recently revealed that she had her Ancestry DNA test days ago and the result is finally out.

According to her, the results revealed that her ancestors came from several nations across the globe, with Nigeria topping the list with 43%.

Her words, “I always knew I had some Nigerian in me.”

Justine Indira Skyers, also known as Justine Skye (born August 24, 1995), is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, actress and model. Skye, whose initial fame was from Tumblr, found a career in the music industry and signed with Atlantic Records at the age of 19.

Skye was born August 24, 1995, in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York, to Jamaican parents Nova Perry, an entertainment lawyer, and Christopher Skyers, a corporate merchandiser VP.

She is of Afro-Jamaican and Indo-Jamaican descent. Skye first gained notoriety in her teens when she tagged along with her mother to a music panel held by performance rights organization BMI. During the Q and A, Skye stunned the panel by asking to sing. She performed a cover to Sam Sparro’s “Black and Gold”.

Along with having a huge following from being “Tumblr Famous” and having a song with rapper Tyga, she moved to Los Angeles and met A-list celebrities who later became friends such as Jaden and Willow, as well as Kylie Jenner and Kendall.
