Nigerian politician, Senator Ali Ndume has come out to mourn the death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru.

He recently revealed this in a statement he personally signed, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he received the news of the death of Attahiru and ten others with shock, and it is clear that the deceased died a worthy hero.

He added that the devastating is clearly a national tragedy, and it is a shame that the gallant General died at a time when the nation is looking up to him for solutions.

His words, “No doubt, this is a difficult loss for the entire Armed Forces at this crucial time when we are confronted by insecurity in all parts of the country.”

“I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) will grant the families and the Armed Forces the strength and fortitude to bear the painful loss. Amen.”
