Our Morale Can’t Be Down Amid The Fight Against Boko Haram – Ali Ndume

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume has come out to urge the military troops presently in Borno not to allow their morale to be down at this point in time.

This is coming after the killing of some of them by members of the deadly Boko Haram sect, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he’ll beg everyone to keep fighting against insurgency to end the menace in the country and pray for the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Farouk Yahaya for the good work he is doing.

Ali Ndume added that the Federal Government should also not relent in funding the military.

His words, “The killing of the soldiers between Marte- Dikwa in Borno State is highly condemnable. It is sad and unfortunate. This should not discourage the troops and the Army from taking the war to the insurgents.”

“We send our condolences to the family of those killed and pray that God grant them eternal rest especially as they died in the course of serving their fatherland.”
