Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins has come out to claim that a man sent her N1M just for looking like his late wife.

She recently had her say via her social media page, and fans have been reacting.

According to her, the man simply reached out to her to say he had been looking at her posts for two weeks and thought to give her some money for looking like his late wife.

Her words, “Him: I’ve been on your page since the past two weeks going through your beautiful pictures.

You look so much like my late wife.

Me: sorry sir

Him: kindly send me your account details I want to buy u lunch.

And that’s how I got alert of 1m for looking like his late wife.”

The term continues to be used in the media to refer to the Nigerian film industry, with its definition later assumed to be a portmanteau of the words “Nigeria” and “Hollywood”, the American major film hub.

Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines. Thus, there are distinct film industries – each seeking to portray the concern of the particular section and ethnicity it represents. However, there is the English-language film industry which is a melting pot for filmmaking and filmmakers from most of the regional industries.
