Stop Insulting The Government Over Price Of Egg – Reno Omokri

Ex Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has come out to ask Nigerians to stop insulting the government over the hike in the price of eggs, tomato and pepper.

He recently had his say via his social media page, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, to easily solve the current problem, Nigerians should invest in hens, give them corn everyday, and they will lay eggs for the owners in no time.

He also advised his fellow citizens to plant pepper and tomatoes in their houses so they can have both perishables at their beck and call.

His words, “If a crate of eggs is now too expensive for you, the solution is not to come online and attack the government. That is not a solution. That is just emotion. Get a hen and give it corn. Every day, it will lay eggs for you. Even if you don’t have corn, the hen will forage for food in your backyard and still lay eggs. Make it two hens and you can sell the excess. Turn the crisis to an opportunity. If you have no pepper or tomatoes, insulting Tinubu will not solve the issue. Go to your backyard and plant vegetables. They will grow. 54% of Britain’s population do it. 51% of Americans do it. If we in Nigeria also do it, we will not die. Instead, we will thrive! Contribute to the economy before you attribute all your problems to Tinubu!

Reno Omokri (born 1974) is a Nigerian author and social media influencer.

Omokri was the host of Transformation with Reno Omokri, a Christian teaching TV show broadcast (for one season) on San Francisco’s KTLN-TV and Detroit’s Impact Network.

As the Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan, he was noted for using social media to conduct surveys and draw attention to the projects of the Nigerian Government. In 2011, Omokri called for Nigerians living outside Nigeria, to endorse Jonathan for the 2011 elections. Omokri was a signatory of a letter by a group known as G 57 that called for the resignation of Yar’adua.

Reno Omokri successfully supported a campaign to unfollow Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari on Twitter. His campaign #UnfollowBuhari, led to a 100,000 drop in the Nigerian President’s Twitter following in just 3 hours.
