FG Should Provide Relief Materials To Victims Of Flood In Maiduguri – Tajudeen Abbas

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas has come out to call on the Federal Government to urgently provide relief materials to Maiduguri residents affected by the flood which swept across the Borno State capital.

Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Musa Krishi recently had his say via a press statement, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he can only call for collective intervention to assist victims of the natural disaster because the news of the ravaging flood is particularly disturbing.

Abbas added that his thoughts and prayers are with the people and government of Borno State at this trying moment.

His words, “I am disturbed by the news of the ravaging flood in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. This is a situation that calls for concern to every well-meaning Nigerian.

My thoughts and prayers are with the people and government of Borno State at this trying moment. My heart goes out to the people of Maiduguri.

I call on all government agencies responsible for providing quick intervention in times of such emergencies to swing into action for the sake of the affected people.”
