I’m Focusing On A Relationship With Myself Henceforth – Jennifer Lopez

Popular singer, Jennifer Lopez has come out to say that her new territory is lonely, unfamiliar and scary.

She recently had her say while speaking to Interview magazine, and fans have been reacting.

According to Lopez, however, being in a relationship doesn’t define her in any way, and a relationship with herself is the most important thing for her right now.

JLo added that she cannot keep looking for happiness in other people when she has happiness within.

Her words, “Everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f**king do when it’s just me flying on my own … what if I’m just free?

When you sit in those feelings and go, ‘These things are not going to kill me,’ it’s like, ‘Actually, I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself,’

I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself.

We think, ‘I have to have that to be whole and happy.’ And you don’t.

I think we tend to get away from [that] at times, when you’re wrapped up with other people.”

Jennifer Lynn López was born on July 24, 1969, in the Bronx, a borough of New York City, and raised in its Castle Hill neighborhood. Her parents, David López and Guadalupe Rodríguez, were born in Puerto Rico and met in New York City.

After serving in the army, David worked as a computer technician at Guardian Insurance Company. Guadalupe was a homemaker for the first ten years of López’s life and later worked as a Tupperware salesperson and a kindergarten and gym teacher. They divorced in the 1990s after 33 years of marriage.
