Chioma Is The Best Because She Keeps Our Affairs Private – Davido

Popular singer, Davido has come out to reveal plans for a white wedding with his wife, Chioma.

He recently disclosed had his say while speaking during an interview on The Breakfast Club, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, their wedding is set to hold in Miami this August, and while he has messed up a lot of times during their relationship, it is a good thing that Chioma can finally get what she deserves.

Davido added that his wife is definitely the best because she keeps all of their affairs private.

His words, “Back home, the culture in some households is, for example, a lot of men grew up with their mum so she’s everything. You know those kinds of households that even if they get married, they can’t leave their mum, she must be in the house. So anything the husband does right or wrong, she’s supporting the husband.

That’s the mentality in Nigeria: the same thing is for women, they must always support their daughters. Meanwhile in America, it is just the man and woman when they get married. In Nigeria, you never really leave that family. Have you seen a Nigerian wedding?

I’m doing my white wedding in Miami in August. The wedding I did was traditional, it was like a carnival in Nigeria, like a holiday. The whole world stood still. Me and my wife’s relationship was in the public eye, especially after I did that one song. So a lot of things happened. Even apart from losing our child, I messed up a lot of times so that full circle moment everyone was like finally she can get what she deserves.

My wife, you can never see her go to any interview or take a phone to say ‘oh, my husband did this’ or see her go on live — like the normal things. And I appreciate her for that because she could.”

David Adedeji Adeleke (born November 21, 1992), who is better known as Davido, is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. Davido was born in Atlanta, US, and raised in Lagos; he made his music debut as a member of the music group KB International. He studied business administration at Oakwood University before dropping out to make beats and record vocal references. Davido rose to fame after releasing “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo (2012), from which six additional singles—”Back When”, “Ekuro”, “Overseas”, “All of You”, “Gbon Gbon”, and “Feel Alright”—were taken. In 2012, Davido won the Next Rated award at The Headies. In May 2014, Davido criticized the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) after missing his flight to London, and accused them of pestering him for money. On May 11, 2014, the PR officer for the NIS denied Davido’s allegations and said they did not issue him an exit permit because he did not have the correct travel documents with him.

On April 6, 2012, Nigerian Entertainment Today reported Davido had signed a ₦30 million endorsement deal with MTN. The deal unveiled him as the face of MTN Pulse, a marketing campaign aimed at Nigerian youth. On October 24, 2013, Pulse Nigeria reported Guinness Nigeria had signed Davido for an endorsement deal. As part of the deal, Davido performed at the Guinness World of More Concert alongside artists including P-Square, D’banj, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Burna Boy, Olamide, Phyno, Chidinma, Waje and Tiwa Savage. On May 9, 2018, Guardian Life reported Davido had signed an endorsement deal with Infinix Mobile, a Hong Kong-based smartphone manufacturer.
