A call for help; Please #SaveYakubuYusuf

A few weeks ago, just before our convocation in the University of Lagos, we at the department of Psychology received a sad emotional blow that our friend and classmate Ayobami whom some of us fondly called Ijogbon (trouble), had passed on as a result of poor health. Similarly, a year or so before this incident, we lost a promising male classmate to health related issues too. We are on the verge of losing another classmate if nothing is done to stop death in its tracks.
You know that one guy that you have in every class? That one that always asked the silly questions from lecturers that made everyone laugh in class. Yeah! That one guy whose absence from class was always obvious because there were fewer laughs or a drought of the much needed comic relief in those boredom injecting classes. That’s who Yakubu Yusuf, who was popularly called YSF, was.
It is for this friend of ours that we are making a call for HELP. We, the University of Lagos Psychology Class of 2013, have unfortunately lost two classmates and irreplaceable friends. We are not about to let another one go, not without a fight. YSF has already missed the entire second semester, graduation and convocation. He has lost academic time, lots of weight and most of all, his wellbeing. We are not about to watch him lose his life too. It is for this reason that we solicit your support, contributions and prayers to #SaveYakubuYusuf.
Join us and other friends to Save YSF from Cancer of the Throat. He needs 7million Naira for his treatment in India. Arrangements have been made for his treatment, all that is left is the money.
