Academy Award Winner, Denzel To Visit Nigeria For Movie Shoot

As Nigeria’s movie industry known as Nollywood continues to make a gradual and steady foray into the global arena, the country is set to play host to Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington, who is expected next week to partake in the shooting of a new movie ‘Spider Basket’, bankrolled by Nigerian entrepreneur, Dennis Osadebe.

Osadebe who arrived Nigeria from his base in Turkey last Friday in company of his Turkish partner, Abdulkadir Erkahraman, hinged his decision to invest in the entertainment industry as a sign of his faith in the abundant talents that abound in the country.

Denzel is just one of many Hollywood stars that I want to witness the talents in this country and to impact significantly on Nollywood. Others are coming. My second movie, By Fire by Force, is due to be premiered this month
