Popular boxer, Tyson Fury has come out to slam Anthony Joshua for wanting to fight Deontay Wilder on the undercard of his clash with Oleksandr Usyk.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, the speculations that Joshua’s bout with Wilder could also take place in Saudi as part of the Fury Usyk undercard are false, and AJ should be ashamed of himself for even wanting that.

Fury added that a battle between Anthony Joshua vs Wilder would be the battle to determine the biggest loser.

His words, “It’s quite embarrassing really when you’ve got a former heavyweight world champion begging for a fight, begging to be on the undercard.

Is he a child or what? He wants to go on my undercard? Him vs Wilder? Battle of the biggest loser? Go and get your own show.”

WOW.

Tyson Luke Fury (born 12 August 1988) is a British professional boxer. He has held the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight title since 2020. Previously, he held the unified heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016, and the Ring magazine title twice between 2015 and 2022. He also held the International Boxing Organization (IBO) title during his first reign as champion.

Tyson Luke Fury was born in the Wythenshawe area of Manchester on 12 August 1988, the son of Irish Traveller parents Amber and John Fury. He was born three months premature and weighed just 1 pound (450 g).

His father named him after American boxer Mike Tyson, who was the heavyweight world champion at the time, and later explained, “The doctors told me there was not much chance of him living. I had lost two daughters in the same way who had been born prematurely.” He decided on the name “Tyson” as Fury was “a fighter” and survived the premature birth.

On 29 September 2023, it was announced Fury had signed a contract to face the unified WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after his bout with Francis Ngannou in October. The fight is tentatively scheduled for 23 December but could occur later on a date in January 2024, depending on if Fury sustains an injury in the Ngannou fight.
