Any Coalition Ahead Of 2027 Elections Will Be A Mistake – Sowore

The convener of the Take-it-Back Movement, Omoyele Sowore has come out to rule out joining the proposed coalition of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He recently had his say while speaking on Arise TV’s Politics Today, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the coalition efforts are not different to past political alignments that have worsened Nigeria’s governance, so he does intend to join any of them ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Sowore added that he will not be part of those who have decided to play chess with the destiny of Nigerians.

His words, “I’m not joining any coalition. The coalition they formed in 2013 and 2015 led to the APC. Joining another coalition in 2025 is repeating the same mistake without learning from history.

The coalition that needs to be built is that of the oppressed. Joining another coalition made up of the same people who created Nigeria’s problems is an injustice and an injury to Nigerians.

I’m not part of those playing chess with the destiny of Nigerians.”
