Gentle men of the press, permit me to use this medium to update my brothers and sisters of Abia Origin, and those living and doing business in the state on the current security situation. Dear brothers and sisters the security situation in the state in the past few days, which led to the deployment of soldiers into our state ahead of the Operation Python dance 11, has become of great concern to both the government and the citizenry. after several intervention, i want to inform you that by tomorrow morning, there will be a withdrawal of soldiers from the streets at Aba and Umuahia, apart from the pre-existing military checkpoints at various location in the state.

Withe the expected exit of soldiers from the streets, we must warn that we will not tolerate agitators and protesters taking over the street for any reason at all. i will also be meeting the President and commander in chief of the armed forces President Muhammadu Buhari, to discuss Possible ways of relaxing the operation python dance 11 in the state for now. Attention has been drawn to the ugly incidence of attack on policemen, police stations, military post and markets, we hereby warn that we will no longer tolerate it,and other actions causing insecurity in the state, bonfires and other illegal acts obstructing movement should stop forthwith.

mischief makers who wants to use Abia as their base will not find it pleasant as we will work with security agents to ensure lives and properties are protected. We received report yesterday that hoodlums were mobilizing around Urata road, Aba with the view of burning the Ariaria International Market, these people are taking advantage of the security situation to cripple the economy and this will cause suffering. This same group originated rumors of attacks and counter attacks around the area, they tried to force out people to enable them execute their evil intentions. Security agents are already on the hunt for them and those outside the state who sponsor their actions, Members and sympathizers of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, (IPOB), should forthwith desist from spreading false rumors that can throw our state into disorder. None will escape the wrath of the law.

My fellow Abians, it is in the interest of all for total restoration of peace and security to our state. No meaningful progress can be made in a violent atmosphere. Those in Aba are to fully observe the currents curfew in the city and cooperate with the security agents to maintain peace and other. I swore to protect lives and properties of all Abians and that i must do. I therefor call on all to support in a collective effort to allow peace prevail in our state.

God bless Abia state. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thank you.
