ASUU To Resume Strike

In a memo dated August 12, 2017, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said it will decide today Monday 14, 2017 if it will begin an indefinite strike. The memo stated that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the federal government in 2014 had yet to be implemented after 6 months indefinite strike in the Federation. The memo which had circulated on social platforms said only N200 billion out of the N1.3 trillion earmarked for the Public Universities Revitalization (Needs Assessment) fund has been released
