Bonang Matheba to Host MAMA 2016 After Trevor Noah Pulled Out

Bonang Matheba will host the MTV Africa Music Awards in Johannesburg after the original host Trevor Noah pulled out due to medical reasons.

Trevor announced the reasons he is not going to be hosting on social media. He wrote in a statement, �”Due to the infection and strain on my vocal chords the doctor has ordered me to rest. I desperately wish I could dismiss the doctor but the added risk of flying means the decision would be highly irresponsible and may cause further damage.”

Bonang has taken to Twitter to confirm she is indeed the host of the award show. She has around 24 hours to prepare for the event.
