Charles Novia Launches His Own TV Channel

Popular filmmaker and critic, Charles Novia has wrapped up work on his first TV channel, Teen Africa TV.

He is now the first Nigerian to own a TV channel solely dedicated to teenagers.

According to him, the channel “is a new and exciting niche television channel poised to be the first platform for Teenagers in the African Broadcast Space.”

He added, “There’s nothing like this and we are building the biggest visual ecosystem of teens and young adults in Africa. Our programming has the best of original content in talk shows, lifestyle, educational, entertainment and events. We are creating the biggest content library and resource for teenagers across Africa and we have the best of ORIGINAL content on the channel.”

Charles Osa Igbinovia (born 20 November 1971), commonly known as Charles Novia, is a Nigerian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, social commentator and essayist. Born and raised in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, Novia is known for films such as Missing Angel (2004), Caught in The Middle and Alan Poza (2013). In 2014, he was chosen as part of the Nigerian team to screen Nollywood films for Best Foreign language category of the Academy Awards by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
