Cuba’s Fidel Castro Passes On At 90

Fidel Castro , the Cuban despot who famously proclaimed after his arrest in a failed coup attempt that history would absolve him, has died aged 90.

Castro’s brother, Raul, announced his death on Cuban TV.

Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz, commonly known as Fidel Castro , was a Cuban politician and revolutionary who governed the Republic of Cuba as Prime Minister from 1959 to 1976 and then as President from 1976 to 2008.
