Delay In Mohbad’s Toxicology Investigation Is Needed For A Thorough Forensic Process – Lawal Pedro

The Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Lawal Pedro (SAN) has come out to announce that the toxicology report and other forensic analyses conducted in the United States on Mohbad have been received.

He recently had his say while speaking at a press conference held at the Ministry of Justice Conference Room in Alausa, Ikeja, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the autopsy report is now with the Lagos State Pathologist and the coroner magistrate, and the delays in the investigation is needed for a thorough forensic process.

He added that comprehensive investigative procedures are essential for ensuring that any case brought to court has the necessary evidence to secure a conviction.

His words, “On the Mohbad case, yes, I agree there has been a delay, and the delay is caused by time taken for investigation.

Forensic, analysis, toxicology, all these are part of the investigation. Full-proof investigation that can lead at least to conviction in a case that is presented before the courts.”

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (8 June 1996 – 12 September 2023), known professionally as MohBad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos. He was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Records and left the label in 2022.

He was best known for his hit singles “Ponmo, Feel Good”, and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” (You Will Always Be Remembered) with Rexxie which was nominated three times for The Headies awards 2022.
