Nollywood actress, Iretiola Doyle has dropped her two cents on the protest tagged Revolution Now, with Omoyele Sowore as the leading voice.
Sharing her reaction to the protest which was disturbed by armed security operatives recently, she had this to say, “It doesn’t matter where you stand politically, you have to admit (at the very least) that it’s a curious case when a nation deploys its security apparatus against unarmed citizens while armed bandits roam free; killing, stealing and destroying at will.”
“Ok.. it’s a been a long day. I’ve stayed this long on this app (a 1st) to respond to as many reasonable reactions to my original tweet as I possibly can. Right now local woman is physically tired and needs to hit the sack. Job dey tomorrow..
“For the avoidance of doubt and for those who still choose to intentionally misconstrue my words; let me make it abundantly clear: I am not PDP, APC or any of the P’s. I am NIGERIAN – Yoruba by birth, Northern by assimilation and Igbo by association.
“My belief is that, in order to move forward as one strong indivisible Nation, we will have to, (collectively and as individuals) drop all prejudice and bias be they tribal, religious or political and let justice and fairplay reign. Good night and God bless!”
