Giving Bobrisky Money After His Release Will Affect Nigeria Negatively – VeryDarkMan

Popular activist, VeryDarkMan has come out to blast celebrities who have financially supported Bobrisky following his recent release from prison.

He recently had his say via his social media page, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, Nigerians should stop asking him to allow people to spend their money however they please because having a lot of cash does not give you the right to do things that will affect the nation negatively..

VDM added that we all owe ourselves a better society, and everybody has a responsibility to play.

His words, “With respect to this Bobrisky thing and the people who contributed money, and in respect to my previous video, there was a particular comment that I saw where someone said, ‘Is it your money?’

If we are going by that, by now this country won’t be the way it is. There are some people waiting to use their own money to sponsor the buying of Igbo’s, there are people waiting to sponsor the buying of Hausa’s and Yoruba’s in this country. Yes, it is their money but should we let them?

There are some things that you do that will affect society and community so because it’s not our money, we can’t talk about what would benefit us as people. Can you people think for yourselves? We all owe ourselves a better society and everybody has a responsibility to play.”

Bobrisky is a Nigerian internet personality and philanthropist who is known as a prominent transgender woman in Nigeria, a country with no LGBT rights. She is also known for her presence on the social media app Snapchat.

Born Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju in 1992, Bobrisky completed her secondary school education at King’s College, Lagos. She also attended graduate school at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

She became recognized by being highly controversial on social media for the ultra conservative Nigerian standards. Bobrisky was able to gather traffic to her Snapchat account when she claimed she had a lover who is assumed to be of masculine gender despite the law in Nigeria stating that same sex relationships is an offence punishable by serving 14 years in a penitentiary.

Bobrisky has a fair share of fans and has been asked by certain event planners to give speeches at their events. In 2019, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, Director General of Nigeria’s National Council for Arts and Culture, called Bobrisky “a national disgrace” and said she would be “dealt with ruthlessly” if caught on the streets.
