Popular Nollywood actress, Liz Anjorin has come out to say poor men are terrible people and she can never date them.
According to her, a poor man can even kill you.
Describing them as “e go better” men, she said having anything to do with them romantically would tamper with her standard.
Her words, “Poor men are terrible people. They can do and undo. Because they don’t have money or name to protect, they can be ruthless. They will even be after your life. You will see them going from one newspaper to another saying nasty things about you. A comfortable man will hardly go on air to abuse his wife.”
“I will not lie, I cannot marry ‘e go better man’. Please it will not happen. What a man has in his bank account doesn’t determine if he’s rich or not. But his attitude also matters. The guy has to be trustworthy. He must trust me as his wife.”
Do you agree?
The actress helped her mother selling foodstuff on the streets. They lived in an uncompleted building for years abandoned by family members. She was so poor while growing up that at a point her mother could not afford to buy her drugs when she was hit by a Danfo bus.
Unfortunately the baby daddy died a few months after the birth of the child. She moved to Jos with the mother of her baby daddy where she started trading.
After her return to Lagos, Liz slept in churches, did menial jobs to make ends meet. She was even accused of witchcraft because of her very light skin complexion. While working for a rich family, she was accused of theft and beaten to a pulp.
With the help of a friend gained admission Federal Polytechnic Ilaro where she had to struggle to pay her school fees by selling handouts and got involved in the deadly business by transporting goods from Igolo (boundary of Seme and Ogun state) to Sango to sell.
Liz Anjorin once gained admission to study Law at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba but lost the admission because she didn’t get the admission letter on time. She, however, stopped selling smuggled goods and began the trade in cosmetics.
