Hollywood actor, George Clooney has come out to defend his decision to withdraw his support for Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.

He recently had his say during an interview with “60 Minutes,” and the world has been reacting.

According to him, he was very proud of his decision to write an essay in the New York Times urging Biden to step down as the Democratic candidate due to concerns over his age, and his move actually allowed for Kamala Harris to potentially take his place on the ticket.

Clooney added that he felt compelled to speak out after attending a campaign fundraiser where he was surprised by Biden’s appearance.

A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 under President Barack Obama and represented Delaware in the United States Senate from 1973 to 2009.

Trump refused to concede, insisting the election had been “stolen” from him through “voter fraud”, challenging the results in court and promoting numerous conspiracy theories about the voting and vote-counting processes, in an attempt to overturn the election results.
