I Will Make It Difficult For Kidnappers In Plateau State – Simon Lalong

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has said from now on, any kidnapper that is captured in the state will face the death penalty.

He revealed this today at Shendam Mini Stadium during the coronation and upgrade of three chiefdoms in Shendam Local Government Area.

According to him, kidnappers are currently relocating from other places to Plateau because of the problems their bad business is facing there.

He, however, added that those that think Plateau is an easy state for kidnapping should think twice because his government is ready to make it difficult for them.

His words, “People are saying they should come to Plateau because there is no death penalty here, but it is no longer business as usual here.

“I have sent a bill yesterday to the state assembly in this regard and when passed, we will effect it,”

“Traditional and community leaders will be held responsible for any breakdown of law and order in their communities.

“You have the duty of mobilising the people toward maintaining peace and order.”
