Instagram user accuses Timaya of rape: His manager threatens her with lawsuit

An Instagram user is accusing Nigeria dancehall star Timaya of rape.

The operator of the page opened an Instagram account with the handle ‘ExposingTheRealTimaya’, to share clips of conversations she’d allegedly had with Timaya. The first post on the page is an audio apparently recorded just before the alleged rape occurred. From her posts, the Dem Mama CEO allegedly raped her and then asked for her forgiveness, but when she wouldn’t be cowed, he then threatened to kill her for threatening his career. The alleged rape is said to have happened in Atlanta, where the accuser is based. See some of the exchanges posted on the page:

All attempts to reach Timaya and his manager Prince Nnamdi Oluzor failed, but Prince lent some sort of credence to the story (that the mystery lady isn’t some nonexistent or random person) when he sent her this message, threatening her with a lawsuit for recording Timaya’s voice without his permission.
