It’s A Shame That Engineers Fixing Damaged Lines In The North Have To Be Protected – Chidi Mokeme

Nollywood actor, Chidi Mokeme has come out to react to news of President Tinubu ordering the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu to provide security for engineers fixing the damaged transmission lines in the North.

Recall that states in Northern Nigeria have been thrown into darkness for over a week now following the vandalization of two towers along the 330kV Shiroro–Kaduna transmission lines 1 and 2.

Reacting, it is a total shame that an order has to be given for the NSA to protect engineers fixing a damaged infrastructure, and it proves that the President is fully aware of the insecurity in the North.

Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines. Thus, there are distinct film industries – each seeking to portray the concern of the particular section and ethnicity it represents. However, there is the English-language film industry which is a melting pot for filmmaking and filmmakers from most of the regional industries.
