Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are facing challenges with dividing their assets amid their divorce saga.

A source recently said that their ongoing divorce has the potential to get ugly since they did not sign a prenuptial agreement, and fans have been reacting.

According to the insider, because they couldn’t sign a prenuptial agreement prior to their marriage, there are currently some sticking points over financials between the ex-couple.

And according to California state law, only the income and assets they earned during their short-lived marriage are considered community property and subject to division.

JLo and Ben are currently in mediation, which is a less formal and faster alternative to a traditional divorce.
