Joeboy – Contour

Nigerian music superstar Joeboy presents his latest single “Contour”. This new record serves as a follow up to his 2022 debut single, CUBANA.

Following the huge success of his 2021 hit song, Alcohol, Joeboy decided to make a return to the music scene with a low-tempo track titled, Cubana. The Nigerian singer and songwriter finally dish us something away from his comfort zone.

Cubana is a song where Joeboy reveals to his lady that he is more than enough and promises to treat her well in bed, not shying away from the fact that his pockets are also loaded. The title, “Cubana” references one of Nigeria’s top clubs, that provides an over-the-top nightlife service to elites. Anyone who hears the name “Cubana” already knows it’s money-related.

Contour reunites the singer with Tempoe, the producer of Joeboy’s runaway hit “Sip (Alcohol)”, A bluesy guitar melody drives the meditative track, building tension for what Joeboy, paradoxically, calls a “feel good heartbreak song”.

Just like the heart-wrenching ending to a complicated relationship, listeners will have a tough time getting “Contour” out of their heads.
