Kyle XY actor Matt Dallas confirms he is gay, announces engagement

Former Kyle XY star Matt Dallas nonchalantly came out of the closet over the weekend to share some big news: He’s engaged!

“Starting off the year with a new fiance, @bluehamilton” Dallas tweeted Sunday, along with a picture of Hamilton. “A great way to kick off 2013!”

Hamilton is a singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles. He and Dallas have been dating since 2009, according to US Weekly, but this is the first time they’ve acknowledged their relationship publicly.

With many more societies accommodating gay marriage, more people have been coming out to proudly disclose their sexuality.

Nigeria and Uganda are two of the countries insistent on their cultural values and hence against homosexuality. While Uganda’s “Kill The Gays” bill could have been passed in December 2012 if not for little hitches, Nigeria’s Senate President recently said Bill prohibiting gay marriage is already in Place, with offenders risking 14 Years In Prison.

Dallas starred as the title character in ABC Family’s Kyle XY from 2006 to 2009
