Lagos State Government Begins Massive Crackdown On Okada Riders Across The State.

The Lagos State Government under the orders of governor Akinwunmi Ambode has commenced a massive crackdown on Okada riders across the state.

Governor Ambode had directed the Police and other security agencies concerned to redouble their efforts to ensure the Law is complied with, as he assured that the clampdown will be sustained vigorously on a daily basis.

The Okada riders have however claimed that the law only barred okada services on major state road and not inner road and streets as it is been currently enforced.

They claimed Okada riders that ply inner streets and lanes that are inaccessible to commercial vehicles are also being arrested, thereby forcing untold hardship on Lagosians whose houses are far from the major roads.
