Lagos State Government Should Refund Demolition Victims Who Bought Land Legally – Yemi Alade

Popular singer, Yemi Alade has come out to tackle the Lagos state government over the demolition of houses in the Mende area of the state.

Recall that the state Ministry of Environment and Water Resources recently demolished the houses on the grounds that the houses were built on the drainage system of the state.

Reacting, Yemi revealed that the different demolitions are ruining the real estate value of Lagos and Nigeria, and it is sad to see how the state government is giving Nigerians reasons to no longer invest in Lagos real estate.

Alade added that the state government should at least start refunding affected legal buyers the monies paid to the state government when purchasing their land.
