Life Imprisonment Sentence Will End Rape In Nigeria – NAPTIP

Director-General (DG), National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Mrs. Julie Okah-Donli has come out to say that any Nigerian who justifies rape from now on will be arrested.

Speaking while answering questions from newsmen in Abuja, she revealed that such people are suspects too.

According to her, parents must hold themselves accountable too for failing to take care of their children since 90 per cent of rape cases were committed by uncles, fathers and relations.

She added that her agency will do everything possible to convince the Ministry of Justice to push for the establishment of a special court to try rapists.
