May Offending God’s Love Be Our Only Fear Henceforth – Pope Francis

Popular leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis has come out to warn that the world is becoming so used to crises.

He recently revealed this via his annual Christmas Day message, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, it is a shame to see how humans have gotten so used to war and suffering that people simply don’t care anymore.

Pope Francis added that he prays Christians only have one fear henceforth, offending God’s love or hurting him by despising the poor with our indifference.

His words, “On the international level too there is the risk of avoiding dialogue, the risk that this complex crisis will lead to taking shortcuts rather than setting out on the longer path” to resolve conflicts.”

“We continue to witness a growing number of conflicts, crises and disagreements,”

“These never seem to end and by now we hardly even notice them.”

“We have become so used to them that immense tragedies are being passed over in silence.”

“On this night of love, may we have only one fear: that of offending God’s love, hurting him by despising the poor with our indifference.”
