Meghan Markle’s Popular Bodyguard Resigns After Six Months

Chief Protection Officer for the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has willingly left her position of protecting the pregnant royal after just six months on the job.

According to Daily Mail, this move by the Scotland Yard inspector to exit her role may not be linked to how stressful it is to manage Meghan’s desire to be more close to her subjects.

Reports say it’s been tough for the popular new royal’s bodyguards to fulfill her wish to be seen as “one of the people.”

“Unlike someone who has grown up in the Royal Family and has been used to having close protection from an early age, it can be constraining” for Meghan, a source said. “Even though [Meghan] was famous, she could still do what she wanted in the way of getting around freely.

“But in her current role, she can’t go anywhere without her protection team, and that’s a massive constraining force on an individual like her.”
The outgoing bodyguard, was the first woman to be in charge such a vital role in keeping the British royals safe.
