Mercenaries Might Be Behind The Killings Of Soldiers In Delta State – Akpabio

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio has come out to say that those involved in the killing of soldiers in Delta State may be foreigners.

He recently had his say while speaking on Tuesday during a debate on two merged motions, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he does not think the people who did the killing were from the Niger Delta at all, and he believes they could have been mercenaries.

The Senate, however, rejected a prayer to observe a minute silence or to commiserate with the families of innocent civilians killed in the process, saying that their numbers are still unknown.

His words, “We are not at war. I don’t think they are from the Niger Delta. They may be mercenaries.”
