Nigerian Pastors Only Quote The Bible, They Don’t Understand Scripture – Daddy Freeze

Popular media personality, Daddy Freeze has come out to say that Nigerian pastors do not truly understand scripture.

He recently had his say via a viral video circulating online, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, while many Nigerian pastors often quote the Bible extensively, they always fall short of grasping the scriptures in their true context.

Freeze added that he has taken time to study the Holy book, and he hasn’t met a pastor who truly understands the scripture.

His words, “I believe pastors should apply scholarliness to doctrine. I took my time to study it, and when I say study scripture I mean study. I have not met a Nigerian pastor that knows scriptures. They might know the Bible but they don’t know scripture.

There is what you call the scholarly consensus, which means they’ve sat down with the papyrus, sat with the original scriptures and what’s left of it and they’ve been able to agree with its data. Do you understand what I’m telling you?. You can’t tell me that you know the Bible because you have studied the King James from the beginning to the end. Until you study in the original languages, you don’t know scripture.”

Ifedayo Olarinde (born 6 May 1976), popularly known as Daddy Freeze, is a Nigerian-Romanian broadcaster and radio talk show host.

Ifedayo Olarinde was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother. He spent most of his early years in Ibadan, where he attended the International School Ibadan. He has a degree in sociology from the University of Ibadan, and is from Oyan Town, Odo Otin, Osun State.

Freeze commenced his radio career in 1996 with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), Ibadan, where he served as a correspondent on The World Chart Show. He joined Cool FM in 2001 and worked in radio presenting, television and general entertainment. He was a senior broadcaster at the Cool FM in Lagos.

Freeze is also an event compere. He has hosted a number of music concerts, comedy shows and Nollywood premieres in Nigeria, Ghana and the United Kingdom. He is the leader of the #FreeTheSheeple Movement.
