North East Must Partner Towards The Provision Of Independent Power Supply – Kashim Shettima

Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima has come out to call for stronger unity among the diverse leaders and stakeholders in the 6-state North-East to effectively address the various challenges bedevilling the geopolitical zone.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, it is very important for those in the North East to partner towards the provision of independent power supply and rail transportation in the sub-region, as that will help the development in Nigeria.

Kashim added that Nigerians should note the recent amendment to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which saw the removal of Power Generation and Railway Transportation from the exclusive legislative list to the concurrent list.

His words, “Let me draw our attention to the recent amendment to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which saw the removal of Power Generation and Railway Transportation from the exclusive legislative list to the concurrent list. It is therefore important for us in the North East to partner towards the provision of independent power supply and rail transportation in the sub-region.”
