Obasanjo Backing Peter Obi Won’t Change The Course Of The Election – Reno Omokri

Ex aide to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has come out to say that Olusegun Obasanjo has always wanted a president from the South-East.

He recently had his say via his social media page, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he can guarantee that Obasanjo is a good hearted man who wants a southeastern president to heal the wounds from the civil war of 1967 to 1970, but him backing Peter Obi won’t change the course of the election.

He added that Obasanjo wanted Peter Odili in 2007 too, but Yar’adua insisted on Governor Jonathan as VP at the time.

His words, “Obasanjo is a good hearted man. He has always wanted a president from SE or close to SE as a way to heal the civil war wounds. In 2007, he wanted Peter Odili, but Yar’adua insisted on Governor Jonathan as VP.”
