Osun State Local Government Election Was Free, Fair And Credible – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party has come out to hail Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke and the people of the state for the successful conduct of the local government elections.

The party recently had its say via a press statement by National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the party’s decisive win reflects the people’s strong support for Adeleke’s achievements in infrastructure, citizen empowerment, and human capital development.

He added that the people of Osun State deserve praise for turning out in large numbers to exercise their democratic rights.

His words, “The Peoples Democratic Party congratulates Governor Ademola Adeleke, the government, and the people of Osun State for the successful conduct and outcome of the local government elections held on Saturday, 22 February 2025.

The free, fair, transparent, and credible election conducted by the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission is a resounding triumph for democracy, the rule of law, and the constitutional principle of true federalism.

It represents the will of the people of Osun State over the anti-democratic forces of the APC, which sought to take control of the state through illegal means.

Moreover, the PDP’s overwhelming victory in the election reflects the people’s appreciation of Governor Adeleke’s outstanding achievements.

His administration has prioritised infrastructural development, citizen empowerment, and human capital projects across key sectors, including power, healthcare, education, road construction, water resources, agriculture, and food production.”
