Pictures from Oba Erediawa the Oba of Benin kingdom 90th birthday

A week ago, Saturday 22 June 2013, the Oba of Benin Kingdom, Oba Erediawa, celebrated his 90th birthday. Though the king was absent from the celebration due to health issues, his son, Crown Prince Eheneden Erediawa, represented him through the event.

The cake was white and adorned with beads which symbolize purity of the monarchy.

There was a re-launch of a book written by the monarch, ‘I Remain Sir, Your Loyal Servant’
