The UN health agency recently had its say via a press statement, and the world has been reacting.
According to him, the nations that will receive kits in the coming weeks will be the ones currently severely impacted by cholera outbreaks, and they include Ethiopia, Somalia, Syria and Zambia.
He added that the world is currently experiencing an unprecedented multi-year upsurge in cholera cases.
It read, “Countries that will receive kits in the coming weeks in this largest-ever global deployment include those currently severely impacted by cholera outbreaks, such as Ethiopia, Somalia, Syria, and Zambia.
We are experiencing an unprecedented multi-year upsurge in cholera cases worldwide, and today’s announcement provides a critical boost in the fight against the disease.”
