Newly crowned Undisputed heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury are set to meet in a rematch on 21 December.

Recall that Usyk recently beat Fury by split decision to become the first undisputed champion of the four-belt era, and a rematch was said to be in the works for October.

However, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s general entertainment authority, Turki Alalshikh has now announced that the date has been pushed back to December.

He added that the world is set to witness another historical fight from 2 amazing boxers.

His words “The world will watch another historical fight again.

Our commitment to boxing fans continues. We hope you enjoy it.”

WOW.

Tyson Luke Fury (born 12 August 1988) is a British professional boxer. He has held the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight title since 2020. Previously, he held the unified heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016, and the Ring magazine title twice between 2015 and 2022. He also held the International Boxing Organization (IBO) title during his first reign as champion.

Tyson Luke Fury was born in the Wythenshawe area of Manchester on 12 August 1988, the son of Irish Traveller parents Amber and John Fury. He was born three months premature and weighed just 1 pound (450 g).

His father named him after American boxer Mike Tyson, who was the heavyweight world champion at the time, and later explained, “The doctors told me there was not much chance of him living. I had lost two daughters in the same way who had been born prematurely.” He decided on the name “Tyson” as Fury was “a fighter” and survived the premature birth.

On 29 September 2023, it was announced Fury had signed a contract to face the unified WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after his bout with Francis Ngannou in October. The fight is tentatively scheduled for 23 December but could occur later on a date in January 2024, depending on if Fury sustains an injury in the Ngannou fight.
