Tinubu’s Work As President Will Take Time To Manifest – Kingsley Wali

APC chieftain, Kingsley Wali has come out to assesses the first year in office of President Bola Tinubu.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the reality is that Tinubu didn’t have a clear vision of the level of rot in the system he inherited, but he now knows that he has stumbled on the near hopeless state of our government.

He added that APC’s work will surely take time to manifest because a lot of things need to be done.

His words, “In the first instance, let’s be clear on one thing. And that’s the fact that President Bola Tinubu, in his wildest dreams, didn’t have a clear vision of the level of rot in the system he inherited, or was coming into.

He has stumbled on the near hopeless and comatose state of our government and he is still struggling to have a hang of what’s going on, what went wrong and how we ended up where we are. Since he is not a hater of Nigeria, my thinking is that it will only get better. I believe in Yemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and what he is doing at the CBN; I cherish the humility of Olawale Edun, the Minister of Finance and the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, which suggests that he has an understanding of his brief and he is gradually doing his bit.

Of a fact is that all of their work will take time to manifest, but I believe that they are drawing a line in the sand, and doing their bit to stop the drift towards the abyss. Both gentlemen cannot afford to fail. If they fail, then it’s nunc dimittis.

Lest I forget, some positive movement is happening in the security sector to confront the security challenges we are facing; I have the feeling that the security agencies are doing well too. But time will tell.”
