Tweets From My Church’s Handle Target A Global Audience – Pastor Kumuyi

The Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry Worldwide, Pastor William Kumuyi has come out to say that the church has branches across 100 countries and five continents, therefore it can tweet from anywhere in the world.

He recently revealed this on Twitter while reacting to the suspension of the social media platform by the Federal Government and a threat by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami that Nigerians still using Twitter would be prosecuted.

According to him, FG must know that the content shared on his Ministry’s Twitter handle is targeted at a global audience, therefore tweeting cannot stop.

He added that the spiritual contents shared in different parts of the world has to continue because it is an order from above.

His words, “In view of the Twitter ban in Nigeria, please note that the content shared on this handle is targeted at a global audience in more than five continents and over 100 nations and we share the content from any of these locations.”

Deeper Christian Life Ministry is a Pentecostal Christian denomination with its international headquarters, Deeper Life Bible Church Lagos, in Lagos. It is overseen by the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi.

In 1973, while serving as a mathematics lecturer at the University of Lagos, W.F. Kumuyi started a Bible study group with 15 university students who had come to him requesting training in the Scriptures.

The church started as the Deeper Christian Life Ministry. W.F. Kumuyi was a former Anglican who joined the Apostolic Faith Church after being baptised.

In 1975, he was expelled from the church for preaching without credentials. He continued his independent ministry, which in 1982 became the Deeper Life Bible Church. By the early 1980s that small group had grown to several thousand, at which time Deeper Life Bible Church was formally established.
