Twitter HQ Was Built In Ghana Because The Country Champions Democracy – Jack Dorsey

Popular social media network, Twitter is establishing a presence in Africa, with its Headquarters set to be located in Ghana.

Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey recently made the announcement in a tweet on Monday, April 12, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, Ghana was chosen because it is a country that champions democracy and supports free speech.

He added that Ghana’s recent appointment to host The Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area also aligns with Twitter’s overarching goal to establish a presence in the region that will support our efforts to improve and tailor our service across Africa.

His words, “Twitter is now present on the continent. Thank you Ghana and Nana Akufo-Addo.”
