We Expected Obasanjo To Endorse Peter Obi, It Makes No Difference – APC

The Deputy Director, Public Affairs of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Kehinde Bamigbetan has come out to say that the endorsement of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi by Olusegun Obasanjo has no electoral value.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, Obasanjo’s endorsement would not change anything about the election, even if the former president is entitled to his own personal opinions.

He added that the party already expected Obasanjo to endorse Peter Obi for 2023, so that doesn’t make any difference.

His words, “Obasanjo endorsing Obi makes no difference. We have seen it coming and we are not surprised that he took that step because we have seen the signs. It will not translate to votes because Obasanjo said it. He (Obasanjo) will not even be able to deliver his polling booth in Abeokuta to Obi.”

“It has no electoral value. We know it is a project that he (Obasanjo) has been working on for the past two, three years and it will soon blow up in his face.”
